Garbage/Shirley Manson

This was discussed earlier & I though might be of interest to some folks in the forum:

Garbage has a concert "freeview" weekends this month on Directv. It was in a strange format, it had the band talking about the songs like a do entary (Shirley Manson is definately Scottish, Manny), then it showed live and "video" versions of the two songs they have out off the new album along with "I'm only happy when it rains" (my fave) and "paranoid". (No #1 Crush, the wacko chick song.) Odd format, maybe those are the only songs that don't suck live/are fit for basic cable audience. I was surprized that they sounded that good live & Shirley Manson has got a set of pipes, no matter what you think of her or her music.

The video for "Bleed like me" has Shirley dressed up like a nurse in a mental ins ution. The chick has issues, but she is much prettier IMO & less punked up now.

I wish more bands wold call themself Garbage so I don't have to listen to it.
