I was reading the Sean Elliot thread and that reminded me that Malik came into my Deli on Friday. He was cool and very nice. I didn't ask him for an autograph, but another manager did, and he was cool about it. Its funny b/c the Deli I work at is right down the street from the Wash Tub and I guess Malik was getting his ride washed and he had to walk from there and back, it was wierd seeing Malik just walking down the street after he left.
Malik is cool. I hope the situation in NY improves. I overheard the guys on one of the ESPN shows (Cold Pizza?) saying that it looked like Detroit was going to make it official and fire Brown, and that he might end up coaching the Knicks ...
Of course, those guys aren't exactly known for getting things right.

Whatever Woody Paige says can be discounted. In fact the opposite of what he says is usually what ends up happening. I just don't understand how the guy finds work on such a national stage.
I was thinking the same thing when he came in... but maybe he was checking out the comp.... he did just open another one of his resturants on Bandera and 1604 which is fairly close

It's never stupid to grab Brown to rebuild your franchise, it's only stupid to give him anything longer than a 2 or 3 year deal. He won't stay any longer. I understand your frustrations, Bill Davidson, but dude, you gave his gypsy ass a 5 year deal. Of course he's going to you over.
