They have locked Memphis down, and it's been so great to see. They've controlled the paint (rebounds aside). If they lose the 2-0 lead again this year, it'll be because of their offense.
They still couldn't crack 90pts...
Score 90+ pts and your odds of beating them just go through the roof... our offense can do it.

Memphis are a tough team that won't be easy to beat but they are seriously offensively challenged. Even if they are chuckers, they are missing players like Mayo and Gay. Pondexter and Bayless can give them some points but not as much as Mayo and Gay.
I agree. And as I said in the other thread, they have a great defense, but Tony got tired, Tim got in foul trouble. With 3 days off before the next game I bet we score 100+ in the next game on Saturday and take a 3-0 series lead
The Grizzlies offense is terrible when against a good defensive team. We have more shooters and playmakers than they do..
Memphis blew their only chance when dumbass Bayless launched that three with a wide open lane to the basket. The Spurs will be rested and ready for Game 3. All signs point towards a quick series win now.
LOL the injury ridden Warriors putting up a way better fight through 2.
Think the Spurs will get a split in Memphis? Grizz are undefeated at home during these playoffs.
I for one am okay with how the game went. Gives Pop lots of coaching ammo over the next few days and lets Spurs stay more focused than if they'd won both games by blowouts.
I have the Spurs in 5, so they will, tbh
Spurs play better on the road... Or at least more focused.
Spurs win game 3 lose game 4 and win game 5 to finish it up.
If I had to bet, I would go with a split in Memphis but I'm for from being sure of that.
I'm terrified of the officiating for Memphis at home, tbh..
Spurs defense has looked great since the second half of game 2 against Golden State. The only way Memphis has a chance is if the refs decide they are not going to let the Spurs play defense, as they did in the second half tonight.
Who thought going into overtime the spurs would win? I didn't. But it turns out Memphis can't score when they really need to. Spurs figure out how to play sustained defense, they've got this.
That's because our starting lineup plays great defense. It even had the Grizzlies missing shots at the rim. If we overplay Bonner and Neal the Grizzlies will score 90+. We saw that in '11.
The Warriors were also undefeated in their own arena until the Spurs went in and beat them in Game 3 and then again in Game 6...
fact is the Grizzlies have huge asteriks on their measly 3 playoff series win in franchise history
2011: Manu arm cast and Duncan ankles
2013: basically no Blake Griffin and no Westbrick
if a team isnt missing their top 2 player then Grizzlies have gotten swept
they also played the 2 worst coached teams that will most likely have both coaches fired by the start of next season with 1 already gone who rely on 1v5 basketball
Spurs have gotten anything and everything they wanted in both games vs a top defensive team and the early season ball movement is back
relying on Bayless can be the best and worst thing to happen to SA
hes a terrible defensive player on top of low IQ
his game is also specialized in terrible offbalance mid range jumpshots which are easily the worst shot in basketball
tonight he made them while being "guarded" by Gary Neal
he can just as easily brick all of them next game and if he starts like everyone thinks he should then hes being guarded by Leonard/Green and taking away possessions from their frontcourt
They have a secret weapon that Spurs don't have cof refs cof
The Clippers and Thunder had one player they needed to shut down to win, and the Grizz did so. Helps neither had a strong 2nd option or good defense. Spurs are much harder to shut down offensively, and they have an elite defense to fall back on.
memphis has momentum and Westbrook isn't on this court either...lol
Only things I'm worried about in Memphis, are refs and Pop's Bonner ball. Other than that, Spurs could sweep.
The Spurs did everything they could to give this game away at the end and they still won....that points to a 5 or 6 game series...
I think the Spurs take Game 3 and then pseudo-rest in Game 4 before finishing it off at home in Game 5.
How does a team lose two in a row, but have momentum? Momentum towards another lose perhaps.
