Clippers sign Shaun Livingston
September 9, 2004
LOS ANGELES (AP) -- High school star Shaun Livingston, the fourth selection in the June draft, signed with the Los Angeles Clippers on Thursday.
Livingston, the first high school point guard to become an NBA lottery pick, signed a three-year contract worth $8.1 million with a club option for a fourth year.
Livingston, who turns 19 Saturday, will earn about $2.5 million as a rookie, $2.7 million in his second year and $2.9 million in his third year. If the Clippers pick up the option, Livingston will be paid about $3.7 million in his fourth year.
Livingston, 6-foot-7, was honored as 2004 Mr. Basketball in Illinois, averaging 18.0 points, 6.2 rebounds and 5.7 assists in leading Peoria Central High to its second straight state championship last season. He originally committed to Duke before declaring for the NBA draft.

I agree.
Somehow I parsed "sign Shaun Livingston" and "waive Christian Laettner" from the suceeding thread and originally thought the topic was "Clippers waive Shaun Livingston".
Sad to say, I thought for a moment that that actually might have happened!
