The finals will begin on June 06. That is 10 days of rest, regardless of how long the Miami/Indy series goes.
Let the perpetual "rest" vs. "rust" debate begin.
For what it's worth, the Heat and Pacers can't possibly get more than 6 days of rest between the time their series ended and the day the Finals began (the Miami-Indiana series, mathematically, cannot be ended in fewer than five games).

Manu was limping in the fourth. Kawhi didn't have his normal bounce this series. TP and TD could always use extra rest.
I don't think there is a rest vs. rust debate with regards to the Spurs. These Spurs will always take the rest.
Definitely take the rest.
The Spurs now have 9 days to rest, heal, and gameplan for the Finals.
That also means we have 9 days to revel in their sweep of the Grizz before the Finals begin.
GO SPURS GO!!!!!
, we're jinxed. Pls say rust is the overwhelming factor and Spurs get swept, LJ. Only chance we have
The Spurs can use the rest.
ST, on the other hand, will be bat crazy.
This... I'm going to soak it up before the real fight begins.
best scenario you could ask for.
This is big. We all saw what healthy Spurs can do. Take the rest.
Manu needs to fix whatever ailment he has in his shooting.
If Manu shooting heals to good (not great) shooting. I like our chances.
Plus, we have a coach that always takes good advantage of our off time.
I agree with you 100..........
May 28 - Rest day/watch Miami game
May 29 - Treatment day/Discuss Gameplans
May 30 - Light Practice/watch Miami
May 31 - Rest
June 1 - Practice/watch miami
June 2 - Rest
June 3 - Practice, Sort out rotations/watch miami if necessary
June 4 - gameplan, practice
June 5 - Rest, Rest, Rest
June 6 - Game day
True. Rest, heal, gameplan and practice for 9 days. Let's hope the Heat-Pacers series go the distance.
maybe even work in tmac if possible?
edit: jesus, okay time to go to bed soon...
exactly, no time for rust to set in or loss of focus.
whoa, hope it's nothing serious...I'd prefer rusty than hearing Spurs injury right now..we're almost there...6 yrs in the making
tbh i have the rest of the summer off so i can sleep till whenever....
currently hearing this http://espn.go.com/espnradio/play?s=espn
Kawhi will be alright, 9 days off will do wonders for everybody...
I doubt if Duncan will wait for 2 days to watch Miami vs Spurs match-ups on video..he always do after just winning WCF acc. to previous reports.
You wish
Pop is gonna run practices almost every day
If the spurs cover themselves with rust I see them missing shots and being slower and unproductive on ofense and not sharp enough on D. That's automatic loss.
But then again if they use the rest wise. Manu can be unstoppable with the rest. Parker and Kawhi more healed. Esp. TP with the break he had at the end of a season, his shape is going up. No contusion = best Parker ever.
Of course I'd take rest over rhythm like LJ said cause 4th Q fumes that spurs could play with = demolition. And Miami if in the Finals can run spurs to death.
I'm going to make some pancakes!
Anybody interested?
If the Pacers manage to make this a six-game series, then we could be looking at 9 days of rest for San Antonio vs. just 4-5 days of rest for Miami.
Granted, as far as rest vs. rust is concerned, there may not be much difference between 9 days and 4 days of rest, especially since Miami doesn't have to travel for the first two games. But it could still be some advantage.
it just sucks we have absolutely nobody to simulate lebron when it comes to practice, as far as what kawhi is going to have to deal with. maybe blair? lol
You can consistently make me laugh. That's about the perfect description of what this place will be like for 10 days.
