It's been six years since my wife booked our familys' Florida Disney trip right smack in the middle of the Spurs 2007 Championship. I remember telling my wife how disappointed I was that I wasn't gonna be able to watch, but it would have been pretty ty of me to miss these memories of my daughters enjoying themselves. Back then I didn't have a smart phone, so my brother would text me with updates on the score while I was waiting in line to ride the teacups with my then five year old. It always killed me that I missed those games being the loyal Spur fan that I am, but I wouldn't trade that trip for the world. I'm just greatful as we all should be that we get to witness one more shot for Timmy. Thank you Spurs for another great run. Win or lose we are lucky fans. When it's all said and done Timmy will go down as one of the greatest of all time. Not every team/fans gets to say that about their team/favorite players. As for you young fans, enjoy it relish it and support your team, you might not get another chance. I got my second chance,...you may not get yours.

Hah. My wife booked our family's Disney trip last year right at the start of the 2012 WCF. We were there from Friday night before the series started and returned home Sunday evening between Games 4 and 5. After games 5 and 6, I kind of wished we were still at Disney.

This is the first time the Spurs have been in the Finals while I was in the States.

I followed the 2003, 2005, and 2007 Finals while I was abroad in Asia - 12 time zones away. So the Spurs won the championship around noon in midday rather than at midnight.
