    Derek Anderson | 1
    Position: G
    Born: Jul 18, 1974
    Height: 6-5 / 1,96
    Weight: 195 lbs. / 88,5 kg.
    College : Kentucky '97

    Info

It sounds like the Blazers are going to waive him to save money. I can't imagine him on the Spurs again, but who knows? You could do worse ... I think.

    P.S.

Not signing him to a long term deal was one of the better moves in franchise history. The Spurs would still be stuck on one championship if they had.

I liked him as a Spur, but I wasn't a fan of his at ude at times. Hasn't he been injury-prone since he joined Portland?

I was a fan of DA when he was here. Then the summer came. Then he left.

    Let's leave it at that.

Its funny that the two reasons he gave for leaving that summer were:

    1. Loyalty. The Spurs didnt show any and Portland would.
    2. Championship potential. According to DA, Portland had it and SA didnt.

Now hes being waived by Portland (in a great showing of loyalty.)

And we have 2 les since then and Portland has zero.

No thanks. Besides, hes only loyal to those that are loyal to him.

He had his chance, let him retire without a le. Sorry DA, but you'd rather get that paper, right?

Look at his stats lately. He's pretty much a bonus for the other team at this point.

Yes, he's been injury-prone during his stint in Portland. Come to think of it, he's been injury-prone his whole career. Stay away. Stay FAR away.

    Hedo > Derek ?
    no question.

At least when Hedo is pussin out on shots and bricking them left and right and being Brent Barry esque, he at least rebounds, and defends and gives you length on the perimiter.

Derek Anderson was obviously a .

    him.

So true. I mean, not being loyal and being a worthless during the post season and giving up on your team.

Derek was most def. a ...

I dont know if this is a coincidence, but a topic just started up on inside hoops by WriterNum934 that says something very similar to this ... doesnt he have a history of borrowing content?

"The Biggest Mistake in Spurs History that Didn't Happen. Resigning Derek "loyalty" Anderson to the huge and long contract he demanded.

Had we resigned him, we'd still have one le, we'd never hadve signed Manu, and we'd still have that injury prone jackass on the books.

I bring this up because I heard the Blazers are going to cut him for tax relief."
