LeBron is better than Kobe
Or does the NBA? Wouldn't the MVP award be more plausible if the actual Players and Coaches voted for it? Why do so many Lebron stans talk about his 4 MVP awards, when he has a 1-3 record in the finals? When Miami loses to the Spurs, what will be the viability of the award?
Why do Miami stans say, " If lebron wins another le this year, he'll be top 5."
How do you come up with this crap?
Kobe = 5 Rings, 2 FMVP, Top 4 all time in Points, dominate after 17 years
Duncan= 4 Rings, 4 FMVPs Greatest PF ever, dominate after 16 years
Kobe and Duncan played and won in the Western Conference. Lebron feasted on horrible teams that still made the playoffs with sub-500 record. Somebody please clear this up for me.
How does Lebron get to jump that?
They have to justify the non-stop publicity they've been giving him for the last decade somehow ...
It's an individual thing. Lebron spent his first tour playing with scrubs and still made it to the Finals. Kobe was Shaq's +1. Lebron has always been the alpha dog on his teams, and those guys get a different category than the Bryants and Pippens of the world, regardless of their rings since rings are a team thing.
Nike invest a ton of money in this guy and needs the sheeple to buy their crap
Thats probably one of the main reasons..
Players and coaches aren't any better than the media tbh. If it was up to the players, we'll see the same politics in the voting system. Fans? Oh please.
I think the current system works BUT they need to be more consistent. The best player on the best team should win, meaning you're not eligible just because you're averaging 30 points a game while failing to at least lead your team to Top 3 seed, period. I do believe however they should have a Playoff MVP for players who at least made it to the Conference Finals.
Kirby didn't deserve MVP in '06, '07, or '08, get over it....
Ignoring the actual post, ESPN does decide who the MVP is.
lol @ rose deserving that one MVP. Everyone knew it was Thibs' defense that got them that record . Chucker Rose didn't deserve anything. Dwight probably should have got that one, he was good that year. Lebron wasn't gonna get anything with how the media was ting on him that year.
Lebron is the MVP and has been since he joined the league. Without his contributions, the teams he's on would be first round fodder and the Cavs wouldn't have seen the 1st round except from their living rooms.
bron still has 4-5 MVP trophies to procure in the years to come, while TOSBs are pretty much done. bron will definitely come above anyone when all is said and done imho
