Basketball without Borders — Asia

Basketball without Borders, the league’s premier international basketball and community relations outreach program, will head to China for the first time from July 14-17. The event will take place at Beijing Olympic Training Facility, Beijing, People's Republic of China.

Including 14 from China, 51 participants were selected to receive instruction from NBA players and coaches, including native son Yao Ming, San Antonio Spurs Tony Parker (France), Philadelphia 76ers teammates Samuel Dalembert (Haiti) and Kyle Korver, New Orleans Hornets Bostjan Nachbar (Slovenia).

During the event, the community outreach for Basketball without Borders Asia will also feature a new Reading & Learning Center facility and basketball court, a Special Olympics Basketball Clinic and an HIV/AIDS Awareness event. The camp’s participants also will participate in daily educational life skills seminars that address important social issues such as HIV/AIDS prevention and education conducted by world-renowned Tsinghua University.

WTF? Are you opposed to him spending a few days giving back to a country and taking time out of his vacation to teach and motivate kids in China?

He has played 100+ basketball games in the span of 8 months....cut him some slack. Season doesn't start for another 3 and 1/2 months.
