Everybody wants to watch Parker's sexy facial hair TBH
Still doesn't compare to any of the NBA on NBC ratings.
Everyone wants to watch the Spurs beat the Heat since the Thunder couldn't handle the stage last year and were "just happy to be there."
Not bad. Ain't the Spurs' fault the east sucked so bad in 2007 that they allowed the Cavs to make the Finals. Whole series should be good ratings since it'll be close.
Plus the two years before that, the Spurs got the "2nd appearance" by the east team that made it the year before, which hampered ratings a bit (both Nets and Pistons were appearing for the 2nd time when they faced SA). Though tbh, Spurs/Pistons was a good series, the bad ratings there made no sense to me unless bandwagoners just hated that the champs from the past 2 years were back there in 2005 and didn't want to see either win.
It may be the third highest since 2004 (so, top 3 out of 9), but it's also down 10% vs. last year. That's typically what the networks and advertisers care about.
Not that I've ever cared about ratings. It's just that this headline is an interesting spin.
Heat drew the ratings tbh
Amazing how people tune in when ESPN doesn't go out of their way to talk down the series beforehand.
Everyone wants to see someone beat the Heat.
