Crickets.
I respect the Heat, but they are a flawed team.
The two things that cause them the most problems are quick, slashing point guards and good bigs that can pass. Check and check.
Their best offensive advantage is to post LBJ, but that will slow things down and they don't like that pace.
On the other end, their best defense is LBJ on Parker, but that's not gonna work, IMO.

Of course they're not screwed.. If they win Game 2 (which I'm pretty sure they will, and so do the odds), all they have to do is win 1 of the 3 in SA to get it back to Miami. 2 wins in SA would certainly doom SA. Oh, and they have the best basketball player in the world on their team. They're far from screwed.
No.. They have weapons and matchup problems for us as well.
Lots of questions will be answered tomorrow... right now its too early to call.
No and threads like this should be locked as pre-mature ejaculate.
The spurs do have more matchup advantages numerically on paper, but championships aren't won on paper.
game 2 is usually a better gauge for a series, in my opinion. game 1s just tend to be fluke-y and unreliable as a gauge
It was a close game. They have Lebron James. Based on those two facts, I'd say they aren't screwed.
I remember a lot of posts like these when the Spurs were up 2-0 last year against the Thunder
Still could go either way. All the Spurs have done by winning game 1 is turn it into a coin-flip, tbh...
I don't know, they have LeBron James tbh..
They controlled the game for 3 1/2 quarters. They're a Duncan .8 shot and a millisecond way from probably going to overtime and being up 1-0 so far.
If they go down 0-2 then they're in trouble but a win in G2 makes them slightly more favored to win the series IMO.
They are only screwed if they lose tomorrow because it will mean they have to win 3 straight road games, not impossible, but the Spurs will have all the momentum.
So yeah let's win tomorrow.
If the Spurs win tomorrow, yeah they're ing screwed.
this is true, but we were clearly rusty the first 3 quarters while they were still on a roll from the previous series. of course now they are playing the "we really need rest" card.
I'm not saying I'm confident, because I know a lot of this hinges on Emperor Stern's blessings, or at least it feels that way sometimes. I'm just saying if all things are fair, in regards to health, officiating etc...., then I feel like we have a believable chance. I mean, if a team as sloppy as the Pacers can take them to 7, certainly we can do much better than that.
I get this, but Spurs missed a LOT of shots they'd normally make.
They're more than capable of winning a game in SA. Thats why I have a heightened sense of scare regardless of the game 1 victory.
Nope not even close to screwed. Not yet at least. I'm thinking the Spurs lose a close game 2.
Wow relax. Settle down. 1 game at a time
They are. The place to attack them is on the baseline. They overplay high, poaching for turnovers, and are vulnerable there. Spurs figured it out, too.
Bull . It was 2-3 points at the half and 2-3 points at the end of three. They had runs, but we always answered with our own.
I'd be absolutely shocked if Spurs win game 2. I'm thinking it's a close one with some very questionable moments that are glossed over or not reviewed. I'd say Spurs have a 10% chance of winning game 2, it would require some near flawless execution and adjustments on our part to overcome the game 2 treatment.
They were some missed wipe open Battier 3s from blowing that game open tbh. Sure the Spurs missed some of their own in the 3rd but I thought the Heat controlled the game up until the 4th. Score doesn't always tell the whole story of how the game is going.
Granted I thought a lot of the Spurs mishaps in the 3rd were rust related and I think the Spurs can definitely impose their will moving forward.
