    Per ESPN and KSAT.

Just saying. Stats are stats and anything can still happen, especially between these two teams. But then again, numbers don't lie.... usually.

    Either way, it's impressive.

Yup...12-1...the only team to win Game 3 in a series that is tied 1-1 and still lose the series was the 2011 Heat.

Yeah yeah yeah, I know, no mercy, no let up, kill them now, push them to brink, throw rocks at them like they're piggy in Lord of the Flies.

But still, that's one damn impressive stat, period. Given the context, easily the most impressive stat I've read all season.

Being up 2-1 isn't the same as being up 3-0 though.

Here's the whole story with that stat:

First, it's when the teams are tied 1-1.
The team that wins Game 3 is 11-1.
BUT... the home team is 3-9 in those same 12 games.
A big part of that is that the home team in Game 3 is the team with the worse regular season record. And more often they are not as good of a team.

This win tonight was a lot bigger than a lot of people are giving credit for, even now. If the Heat win this one, it says Game 1 was a fluke. Even if the Spurs split the next two here, they can get another one in Miami. Nobody doubts that now. Not any of the fans, and not any of the Heat players.

DAMN RIGHT, especially if Parker is hurt.
Being up 3-0 might not be enough if Parker is done. Seriously.

I cant believe the amount of pussy ing. Parker's fine, he came back in the game, he even said it might of just been a cramp. He will play and be fine next game. I don't get all the freaking out like little es.

True but that means nothing if Tony's hurt. And regardless it doesn't really mean much tbh. When you have the best player in the world, that changes everything. Those other teams didn't have Lebron (minus 2011 when they won Game 3) and this team can "turn it on" at any moment. Not comfortable with just a 2-1 lead. Also, even if Tony still plays but is effected by the hamstring, that changes the whole series around imo.

I bleed Silver And Black, what can I say. That, and I've heard too many guys say they "felt something", and it turned out to be a tear.

BTW - it's always intimidating when someone says "little " on an anonymous forum. I'm glad it rarely happens in person, or I'd need Valium.

Given how relatively little Parker contributed to the game's outcome tonight, couldn't the case be made that the Spurs could manage without him?

We're not going to win by 36 points each time of course, but perhaps the Spurs could just give Green 40 minutes each game and hope for the best?

IMHO, that's ridiculous. I've seen people's adrenaline let them continue to play after a meniscus or ligament tear, but never after hammy issues. A simple strain is enough to make you go into a fetal crouch. I bet it's just a cramp as Kori said...

Parker will be fine and he will play in Game 4. The best thing the Spurs can do about tonight is go home, rest and forget about game 3.. Still have 2 more to get and need to play as hungry as they did in game 3.

IMHO, you are being an asshole about something you know nothing about. A minor tear will often not feel that bad when it happens, but will continue to tighten up and hurt worse over the next day or two. If the tearing is a little more severe, it's still very possible to keep playing with the pain - I've seen it more than once or twice. If bruising starts to show up, the tear is a bit worse, or got made worse from continuing to play. (The bruising is from blood leaking out of torn muscle fibers.) I saw a guy play a complete football game with bruising that ran down to his calf and up to his ass - from a partially torn hamstring. And, like I said, a lot of the time when it happens, they say they "felt something".

    What Is A Hamstring Pull

A hamstring pull is a type of "muscle strain". This is the muscle equivalent of a ligament sprain. Muscle fibers are torn either partially or completely. A crude three point grading system is used ranging from microtears and partial tear to a complete tear of the muscle.

Minor - Grade 1 Hamstring Strains involve stretching of your hamstring muscles which result in slightly pulled or excessively stretched muscles, or very small tears in your muscles. You will generally feel some specific point pain, tightness or mild cramping in your hamstring which will be a little uncomfortable, but will involve no swelling or no major loss of strength. These may diminish with activity, but will return with a vengeance afterwards.

That doesn't mean Parker has a tear. But I don't like hearing that "felt something" comment. And I don't like the look on his face, on the bench - because guys look like that a lot when they're worried that something tore.

He had that look on his face because Green and Neal were ting all over him. MVP my ass.
