Splitter is giving the Spurs nothing...he's useless when the Heat trap the PnR..He's playing like a pussy can't grab a board to save his life and is going up soft around the basket..

I think Pop should consider Blair in 1st half. Blair will bring energy and he will not play afraid..I even think be better on the glass and will make the easy shots that Splitter is getting blocked/missing..

Heat are going small ball a lot. Splitter should be our 3/4 big man option. Duncan primarily, Diaw, then Splitter / Boner. Splitter is an amazing PnR'er, it's a shame he cannot finish. His range is extremely limited, he cannot create his own shot, we have not seen the few post moves that he has, his shot is not difficult to block, he is slow to create around the rim, he passes out of the post, he is not giving us anything on the glass.

I agree, he is giving the Spurs nothing.

Another big issues with Splitter is he can't pass..when Miami trap the big is open in the middle of the key. When we pass it to the big. You must attack or pass and he can't do either. Blair has that floater and is a better passer. I say try it for a half and see if it works

Maybe. But don't forget that Blair sucks. I don't think he plays scared though. Not like Tiago.

Personally, I wouldnt change rotation. Pacers hurt them bad playing with two bigs. Spurs matched small lineups and we all saw what happend.

I would give TMac opportunity, if going small is only option.

Splitter is terrible, I rather see Diaw in the game all game, at least he was efficient and scored.

No point of going big if you can't take advantage of it and is going to be a defensive issue...Heat defense is taking the ball out of Tony or Manu hands and forcing them to pass to the big in the middle if paint..Splitter doesn't fit that mold. He's a roller who can finish around the basket. Blair or Diaw are somewhat a threat from 10ft..and both are better passers especially Diaw. IMO Diaw should start

No. We need Splitter's length and defense more than his points. Removing Splitter at such an early stage of the game was a costly decision.

Sure, why not just play the way Miami prefers. Give them the trophy - instead - why pretend you have a system you believe in when it only takes 1 foul from Splitter to trash your whole system and bend over for Miami.

I agree with this. Splitter was awful, AWFUL..BUT you gotta adjust the offense where it can work for him. How? I have no clue but find a way.

But just like last year against the Thunder in game 5, Pop changed his lineup and all rotations went to . I'm afraid that might happen again in this game 5 and we will have the same results

Yes, playblair. Unless you want Miami to continue getting blocks and strips on splitter that lead to transition points. If you want 3 rebounds(maximum) in 20 minutes Splitter is your guy. If you want to play offense 4 on 5 don't make a change.

Blair will chuck it every time he has the ball. Spurs need a defender. Diaw needs to play and play well.

The offense would have to adjust to where he gets a clear lane to the basket. If he small rotates on to him he won't finish. We were lucky he hit his free throws last game. He'll be as pathetic going forward but he might not even hit his ft's.

I've been saying all along that this would be the perfect series for Dejuan Blair to play. He's another big body that can go out there and bang with those midgets of the Heat. Blair can defend Lebron in the post and he's not afraid pass up an easy shot.

I've always thought that Blair and Diaw are very similar players. They both pass the ball well. I love Blair's floater which can come in handy when he catches the ball in the middle. Splitter either goes in soft to get his shot blocked or tries to pass to the corner turning the ball over. As long as Blair goes in to the game with the mindset that he has to defend, box out his man, and rebound then he should be fine.

Sadly, Blair has as much of a chance as McGrady to get playing time. We all know what happens when someone is in Pop's dog house. Just ask Malik Rose or Stephen Jackson. That is one thing that I've always thought that Phil Jackson has over Pop and that is the ability to manage egos. Instead of trying to manage ego, Pop just straight up benches the player. He doesn't attempt to manage the situation. As much of a genius Pop is, he can't handle player personalities.

How is Blair going to get his shot off in there? Duncan cant even seem to, at this pt..spurs should sign and trade splitter in the off-season, for Brittany griner!

Duncan is scared. TD is passing up post ups and good shots over Mike Miller for God's sake.

Lol I'd rather have an inexperienced Baynes out there rather than Splitter and Whataburger with cheese. At least he's physical and is less likely to be blocked by a damn shooting guard.

The Spurs should play Blair or Diaw instead of Splitter. I really hope the Spurs let Splitter go after this season.

Well scared or not...both of the spurs bIgs are getting blocked at the rim, by much smaller guys...so now the idea is to put in a big, that's 6'5"?? Baynes would have been more useful in this series. At least he plays like he has a pair..

And hey, it's not like it's Splitter's mastery of the pick and roll that's allowing him to get the ball in the lane or anything -- that just happens by ing magic, so all anybody has to do is be physical enough to finish and they're golden.

dejuan blair is the answer to the spurs problems................. reasons to play blair................

    1. would limit manu ginobilis turnovers........... (blair manu pNr is legit)...................
    2. blair finishes @ the rim.........................
    3. the floater would be effective...................
    4. boards & more boards would dominate miamis second unit bigs on the boards.............
    5. blair can legit pass ................

    play blair
