Think about it for Game 4's:

    2003

    - Spurs lose a close one to a very pesky Phoenix team in the first round, tying up a series and raising apprehension

    - Lakers pummel the Spurs in Game 4, and regain momentum heading into a crucial Game 5

    - In the Finals, the Spurs lose by a point in a heart breaker against a Nets team many of us had underestimated

    2004

    - Blown out by the Lakers in Game 4

    2005

    - Get crushed by a Sonics team who were gaining momentum by the day. That series was a nightmare and Jerome James of all people were completely disrespecting the Spurs. After that Game 4 performance, who can blame him?

    - Spurs on the verge of sweeping the Suns, but can't quite close the deal, giving Phoenix some signs of life heading into Game 5

    - In the Finals the Spurs lose by 31 to a Detroit team that we looked completely helpless against. I would argue the situation Spurs fan felt was probably even more dire than now. Back to back blowouts sucked....especially in the Finals

    2006

    - Brutal buzzer beater loss to that little twerp Kenyon Martin that forced the Spurs to expend more energy against a team they should have beaten in 5.

    - A very tough loss to a Mavs team that beat us in OT thanks to another little twerp named Jason Terry. Spurs were down 1-3 in the series, and 2006 offseason threads sprung up everywhere.

    2007

    - Spurs get hosed by the refs in the fourth quarter of Game 4 against the Suns and Big Shot Rob goes ape against Steve Nash, who later admits to embellishing a flop that leads to suspensions. Prior to the suspensions being announced, it felt like Phoenix had regained the momentum while the Spurs lost their cool.

    2008

    - Spurs lose a heart breaker to a no call from a Brent Barry 3 where Fisher had fouled him. Big change from what could have possibly been a tied series turns into a 1-3 hole

    2009

    - Lose to the Mavs in Game 4, and go on to lose the series in 5

    2010

    - Get swept by the Suns....that one still hurts

    2011

    - Grizzlies take a commanding 3-1 lead as we get blown out on the road

    2012

    - Blown out again on the road against OKC to even the series

The point I'm trying to make is that the Spurs have had a tough time in Game 4's for the most part. Obviously, the Heat are different animal, but the Spurs have been in this position before. At least Game 5 is at home and you know the crowd will be amped and the team will go all out for the final home game of the season.

Losing Game 4 is nothing new, and it would be completely unrealistic to think the Spurs would take 3 straight from the Heat who haven't lost back to back games since early January.

Let's see what happens, a 3-2 lead still puts us in the driver's seat

Definitely was more scared of Detroit after the game 4 blowout. Compared to that game, I feel just fine about Spurs' chances this year.

Yeah, i thought the Spurs would have to win Games 6 & 7 against Detroit after the way they completely manhandled us in G3/4.

Game 5 of the 05 Finals will always be the craziest game for me tbh. Here's hoping this year's Game 5 won't take as much heroics.

This. It took a miracle to get past them.
