Why is the assumption that if Timmy wins, he is out? He still has another 2 years on his contract, with the second being a player option, and had one of his most productive seasons in half a decade.
Timmy and Pop will both be back next year.
So Pop reiterated that he was out when Duncan was. It seems to be the assumption that if Timmy wins he's out. So Pop would be too. With us losing Bud, who would we get as coach if that happened? Just hypothetical that they both retire after the Finals. Not if they play and coach another season or two because theres no telling who's available. I think, even though it's small market and not alot of money, it would be the number one spot for a coach because of the chance to get a real shot at developing a team without over reaching views of their chance.
I would like Avery Johnson. But there's no real logical reason, except I think with his work ethic, he will always get better. But he was my favorite player growing up. What's say you?

Pop said he was joking when he said he will walk out with timmy. He restated and said he will coach until he feels nothing for basketball anymore. Thats why Bud left, coz Pop's gonna stay longer
hyhy Thanks. Didn't read the part where he said he was joking.
why this question? are we trading Pop too?
Change your name to Michael Bolton, you no talent ass-clown!
I think RC takes over as head coach and Pop becomes GM.
nice comeback, no really.
m33p0 thanks. I was worried it was a little dated.
i'm old enough not to google who michael bolton is.
Doesn't Timmy have one more yr left??
Pop will retire when TP will leave. They agreed on that.
I stopped reading here.
Manu will pull a Kidd and directly go from player to coach.
So, Duncan wants to go out a champ? Just like Robinson did?
If Pop were to leave SA, he'd go to LA because he lives out West somewhere, Oregon or whatever.
No one in their right mind walks away from a 10m a year contract for reduced workload, especially no one paying spousal and child support.
Same here but I meant the office space
