Jackson's Lord of the Rings are the most detailed and well scripted movies of our generation. Another amazing movie upcoming, can't wait.

I hope it's as boring as the first!
Looks like someone didn't watch the first one.
Also the CGIs were so badly done that it made the worst CGI film look damn good.
You're an idiot.

You're a bigger idiot.
I saw the first, it was at least a half hour too long. It dragged badly, and there is no reason to stretch this to over 8 hours of film.
Figures the biggest ST nerd would chime in.
I know. I quoted you for confirmation purposes.
I watched it as well and couldn't get over the CGI and special effects.
Ahh, ok. I just wish he would have considered a hand drawn animated movie. It could be done so damn well without shoehorning fx into it.
I saw your thread TBH

I was disappointed when I heard they were making it a trilogy. Didn't really think it needed to be split into three different movies, tbh. I started re-reading it a couple months ago but couldn't get through it again. lol
this son, I have no idea how some people could withstand hobbits talking or their existence.
I think its just a nerd fad now.
I have one other account and I haven't used it in months, there's no way I can defend myself here.
Some of the natural scenes that looked like cgi were actually untouched. Like the scene they're climbing the mountain next to that huge glacier. That's what it actually looks like in real life (the area is called Earnslaw Burn I think). New Zealand really does look like that, other than the obvious cgi castles.
NZ is the shiznit, even if the sheep do outnumber the people 10:1. Surprised tlongII hasn't emigrated there, tbh.
Incredible detail. I was blown away by the trailer.
new trailer
I can dig it. Still worried about the overemphasis of Tauriel and Legolas tbh
Sooo why is Legolas in the movie again? This took place before his time or he should be in a cabbage patch diaper.
Don't think he should be that young, elves live an assload longer than men, but he's in the movie for image just like Evangeline Lilly's (who's a made up character). I'm not too worried considering Jackson's such a Tolkien fan, he won't deviate too much
