I just noticed I had a typo in the thread's le. Should be "Bud" not "Bub" of course.
I fully admit I'm overreacting here, but it bothers me a little that Bud is using his down time to flush out his staff for the Hawks. According to ESPN, he just hired Darvin Ham for Atlanta. He's already interviewed and hired Quin Snyder too.

Now, I know Bud is a pro and still doing his duties as a Spur assistant coach, but, I don't know... its more of a feeling. Taking time interviewing and selecting his Atlanta staff could be more time lookin' at film or designing tweaks for that one thing the Spurs could do to beat the Heat.
I remember in 2005 when we were in the finals against Detroit, and Larry Brown was having serious discussions with Cleveland about becoming their head coach. I always thought Larry should have waited until the season was over. It was a distraction to his team in a tight contest with the Spurs. Joe Dumars reportedly was not happy. I lost a little respect for Larry Brown then, I can't deny it. Finals appearances are rare, this other stuff can stay on the backburner.
I haven't lost that respect for Bud, let me make it clear and I wish him success in Atlanta. Still, if you've ever managed a group of people, distractions leak in. If you've ever given notice at a job before leaving, you find yourself spending your last days preparing for the next job. It's human nature. I really wish Bud hadn't gotten the Hawks gig until after the Finals. Probably just me.

they are excited
Rumors are they are working on Howard & CP3 to play together in Atlanta
The Atlanta Hawks, who were recently fined for “tampering” by sending out a letter to prospective season ticket buyers is one of the teams interested in landing Howard +CP3
Everyone needs a little time to flush their staff.
what he does on his own time is his own business.
I agree tbh, he owes us his commitment right now. He can wait a few days.
Blame this sh*t on Danny Ferry. Dumbass can't see that the Spurs are in the middle of the NBA finals. What as as*hole.
