Heh, heh.
5 minutes ago. they said the Rockets, Lakers, Thunder, Clippers, and Memphis could win the West next year. Then they asked each other "What about San Antonio?" Mike Greenberg responded "No, I absolutely don't see them being contenders im sorry" then they followed by both D riding each other by saying "Im rooting for Miami today, just for a Game 7 and so Lebron's legacy doesn't get crushed because its not fair"
The Lakers will be somewhere between mediocre and terrible.
Was this actually said? lmao "It's not fair"?
Of course they count out the Spurs. They've been doing it for years. Let them talk about those loser teams while we get our 5th ring. Hilariously irrelevant how NBA goings on is actually talked about while the greatest teams are still playing.
I know, Cry me a river, beotches.
Eventually they'll be correct. Maybe next year will be when father time catches up to Duncan and Manu falls further.
The media have been calling the Spurs too old since 2007. Nothing new to see.
The media created this monster and now they are dealing with it. This is what you get for calling a guy "The King" before he even made it to the championship round. I have nothing wrong with people calling LeBron a great player, or even best in the world. A lot of times, he is that good. But his en led at ude has extended to his teammates, Heat "fans" and of course the media who constantly talks him up.
LeBron James is a great basketball player, but he's not perfect and there aren't five of him on the court at once. He's gotten help from his teammates in the games they've won, so you can't pin this on the Heat's other players like you could the Cavs in 2007. The Spurs have beaten them in the three games they've won. An acquaintance of mine, and I say that loosely because he's a gigantic LeBron sucking bag, said the Heat let the Spurs win Game 1. Really? They were leading the game for 3 and a half quarters and just let the Spurs seal the game on a clutch run in the 4th? Bet you still have a Cleveland #23 jersey.
Sports aren't fair. Life isn't fair. You work hard and get back what you put into it. Sometimes somebody else puts in more and beats you. That's how it ing works.
The true significance of events seems to be lost....
Basketball is only a game. The true measure of greatness is how you conduct yourself on and off the floor.
Lebron James and people like him cannot be role models for the young. James is too immature, his ego overblown to gigantic proportions. He has NOT done something for Humanity yet, and yet he acts as if he is a god on earth.
This is one of the roots of evil in our society, when the young idolize the wrong people, and think how they act is the human way.
So sad.
These guys are joined at the hip with Colin Cowherd. Lots of wishful thinking...
It's not fair after all the hype to lose to so old old team. LOL. What a bunch of whiners.
Heat were feeling out the Spurs in the 1st game and not playing with any urgency in the 4th quarter because they had held the lead comfortably for the first 3 1/2 quarters. That sense of en lement/belief in the media buildup works against them when the game gets tight - added pressure creates unnecessary doubt. SAS doesn't have that as nobody expects them to win this series and haven't been building them up for the past 3 seasons.
Even if SA does win the media won't give them much credit, fans are already saying LBJ is choking, his supporting cast is no different than the Cavs etc. when in reality it's taking a whole team to limit Lebron, elite defense from Kawhi/Green, role players stepping up, etc. an entire team effort defensively and offensively that you rarely see.
They'll refuse to acknowledge just how great this team is like they always have, and I'm fine with that.
SS DD. Nothing to see here. When are we ever considered?
Who cares about these bunch of clowns and their opinion anyways?
We are 3-2 up in the finals. Tonight, we are winning it all. What are they doing today?

Anybody that thinks the Lakers could win the west next year with Kobe's injury and the problems that team has just lost ALL credibility.
Three of those teams were first round fodder, and the following season they are going all the way to win the west? The Grizzlies got swept in the WCF, well OKC could be good, time will tell.
While Duncan and Manu could decline, Cory seems to be good, Green could be the finals MVP and Kawhi has improved a lot, even Parker keeps improving. If Dwight has a brain, he will sign with the Spurs as FA.
Lebron's legacy was tainted the minute he left Cleveland. A true champion fights to get his team over the line. It's the only credit I give Jordan, Kobe, Olajuwon, I'll even pay it to Dirk.
To me 2012 and any championships he might manage to win in Miami will always have the "*" next to it. It wasn't fought for, the hardships were not endured, and I'm sure deep down.... he knows it too, and when he's career is over... he'll look back and know that any number of championships won in Miami couldn't match what say what might have been in 2007 or a real le earned in Cleveland.
Lakers, Clippers, OKC, alright they're drinking the gatorade.
But Memphis and Houston? I mean, far better picks than the Lakers, but it just shows how much the media hates the Spurs.
You have to remember, they work for a network that orders how many times per hour Tim Tebow must be mentioned.
these kind of s fuels my being as a spurs' fan![]()
MIKE AND MIKE..... They should be renamed SUCK AND SWALLOW.......I ing hate ESPN!!!!!
But its not fair, lol,Why cant the spurs just give baby bron his trophy so all can be right in the espn sports world! lol gtfoh. Maybe if espn would get off their knees and quit servicing Le n his friends, like its some college party n they wanna show the super friends they are down for anything, they would see Spurs have some money to work with next year and judging by the front office they have, I am sure the spurs will be just fine and right back in the mix!
