3 pts in a close-out game. Other than shoot a 3 pt, what can Green do.

How about stop Lebron James on a fast break. There may be three other people that have done that ever. And he's done it like 7 times in this series. And ask Stephon Curry if Danny Green can only shoot threes.

I think we all realize that. If you rely on Green for more than that on offense, then you're toast tbh.

3 pts in a close-out game. Other than shoot a 3 pt, what can Green do.

His transition defense has been better than anyone I've ever seen. The Heat are a transition team. You do the math.

That stop on LeBron was incredible, and looked like it might have sealed the deal on a Spurs Championship. Then, when it looked like it might have slipped away, he hit the floor for the loose ball, secured it, and got a time out called - again looking like he might have sealed the deal.

The Heat made a concerted effort to keep Green from getting good looks. And if you decide to shut down one player, you can do it. The question always is, "At what cost?" We all knew that if they put that much effort into stopping Green, it was going to open someone else up. And it did.

Shame on you for trying to point a finger at Green for last night. No... you for trying to point a finger at Green for last night.

Someone needs to look at game footage. The answers you seek are there.

He should learn how to put the ball on the floor. He's lucky that in this series he's not being guarded. After game 6, what more can you expect from Green though. zip, nothing, nadda.

Transition defense, perimeter defense, three point shooting. Just a three trick pony?

Green is part of the reason TD got all those points and rebounds.

No issues with green's play at all. He has overperformed in this series. He at least doesn't turn the ball over like manu. Green knows his role, he should never take more than 4 dribbles tbh or he's out of his element

This. Because the Heat changed their strategy and actually face guarded Green all night, the middle was wide open. Too bad most of our guys not named Duncan didn't take advantage of that. Duncan and Diaw were really the only ones who saw the giant hole in the middle of the Heat D.

Kobexxx...in Basketball, there are 2 ends of the court. One end is your offensive end, where you try to score points. The other side is the defensive end, where you try to stop the other team from scoring points.

I hope this helps. Please feel free to ask any more basketball questions from this forum. There are plenty of folk here that know how basketball is played.

    Take care.

Green has performed beautifully in these finals. He plays defense and hits open threes-- that's his role. He has hit more threes in the finals than any player who ever lived, and he makes a salary that is below the league average.

The real ONE TRICK PONY is the frontrunning drama queen Spurstalk "fans" who have nothing better to do that start terrible threads saying various people suck/should be fired, etc...

I hope that as the big three age and begin to consider retirement that Green can really surprise us with his game. Imagine if Green could get his own shot.

Green has progressed nicely as a player, he's one of the 3 best spot-up shooters in the NBA, along with being a very good defender, which is a rare combination in the NBA, tbh..

Obviously, offensively, he is a 1-trick pony, because of his horrible ball-handling and poor finishing..fortunately for the Spurs, Spoelstra took 6 games to figure out that the Heat should be running Green off the 3-point line and forcing Duncan, Leonard, etc to beat the Spurs in 1 on 1 matchups..

Danny's future is promising, though..he's a hard worker and he already has skills that are difficult to develop(elite shooting, good defensive instincts)..
