At the beginning of the season if anyone had told us the Spurs could play one game to become the NBA champions nobody would be complaining. 10 out of 10 Spurs fans would gladly take that opportunity. Unfortunately for us, the NBA plays series in 7 games, not 1. There are ups and downs, heroes and villains. Everyone here saw Game 6 so there is no need to reiterate what happened. The Spurs won it in regulation and lost it in regulation. Players hit shots, players missed shots. As fans we can point fingers at Pop, Manu, Kawhi, if your really picky maybe you think Patty was doing the wrong towel wave on a play or something. The point is after everything that happened in Game 6 and the 5 games before it, the Spurs are still exactly where every Spurs fan would have been thrilled they be 9 months ago, 4 months ago, and probably even a week ago.

I don't know how game 7 will play out. Historically the odds aren't in the Spurs favor, and the way game 6 played out probably doesn't help. But I don't care. Either team can win 1 game against the other in this series. Any guy on the Spurs can step up at any time. If I'm the Spurs I'm pissed that the Game 6 we won, somehow resulted in a loss. I'm pissed that when we win its Lebron not being aggressive and when we lose its because the Heat are the better team. However if I'm the Spurs I'm glad I get another chance to beat Miami and fix the mistakes of Game 6.

God knows how game 7 will play out tomorrow night. What I do know is the Spurs are the better team. Win or lose, as a Spurs fan the only thing I care about is them playing Spurs basketball for 48 minutes. When they do that they can win anywhere and under any cir stances. They showed it for 48 minutes in Game 1, the showed it for 46-47 minutes in Game 6.

As for us fans, its easy for us to criticize this guy or that guy. Its easy to cheer for the Spurs when everything is going well. Its easy to give up and get depressed about a squandered chance. However its the hard times, not the easy ones that define a team. Its the hard times, not the easy ones that show who the true fans. And its the hard times, not the easy ones where greatness is born and championships are earned. Game 7 is a defining game for the Spurs and their fans. I don't know how all this will play out, all I know is that I still...
