That's not a pick, tbh. He just played every side of the fence.
Believe me, I know what a bad prediction looks like![]()

But it's the variety the Spurs can offer that I think gives them the edge tonight. If it comes down to LeBron or bust, it won't end well for the Heat. If their 3-point shooters have another big night, then Miami has a strong chance.
What the Heat can't rely on is the Spurs folding at any time, for any reason. They've absorbed every hit the Heat have offered in this series and responded, making even the Heat's two blowout wins in this series a test of endurance.
I think the Spurs' consistency edges out the Heat's spurt-ability in this winner-takes-all. And those yellow ropes will be out, again, to prepare for a San Antonio celebration.
That's not a pick, tbh. He just played every side of the fence.

he thinks spurs will win it. I don't know what else to make of it.
I do like what he said consistency will beat the spurts or waves that Heat comes with.
I hope so
That's about as close to a pick for a team not called the Miami Heat as you'll ever get from him.
I don't care if he picked the Spurs or not - that idiot
jinx attempt.
WTF did that guy get drugged today? I never thought I would see those words coming out of his mouth. Is he trying to anti/reverse jinx his team?
that dude always trashes the Spurs, sounds like jinx to me.
has frozen over picking the Spurs = Kobe, Smith the Mouth and this Spurs hater...
Hate that guy. Just Miami heat fans feeling the same way as spurs fans tbh. Either ginobili plays well or the spurs limit their turnovers and the three point shooters go off. Either thing happens and the Spurs should win.
Holy balls. He was right last year so...
Asshole is going for the reverse jinx. him...
I always take those coast to coast segments with a humongous grain of salt. Basically, the editors say, one person has to pick the Spurs, one person has to pick the heat. They basically play both sides of the argument for those articles.
Either he's right or his Heat win. Well played, Mauer...
The DeadlyDynasty angle. Solid.
What?????????????????????????????????????????????? ?????????????????????????????????????????????
Well, on the flip side, long time Spurs fan Barkley said today that he thinks we're getting blown out by 20 and that if we win by some miracle, it'll be the greatest piece of coaching ever witnessed in his generation. Those were his words. He also pointed out Manu talking like a whining loser for the past couple of days as being a bad sign.
You think?
I'm just mentioning what he said. That guy has been wrong all playoffs-long though.
He's not a Spurs fan. He's always said "I don't root for any team." He just sees things the talking heads from ESPN don't see. He knows his basketball. I agree though that his predictions for the past two years have been off. Hopefully his prediction for Game 7 will be off again and the Spurs blowout the Heat. Longshot.
Yeah, I should rephrase that. He admires what our team has accomplished and isn't an ESPN robot.
Of course it's a pick. He thinks the Spurs will win but implies he wouldn't be surprised if the Heat won. I think he clearly made the call.
but Israel always picks against us........always.....I believe what he is saying. and with Danny Crawford out their the spurs win tonight.
anybody catch Sportsnation today? They're showing it again on ESPN2. But wow the blatant disrespect they're giving to the Spurs is crazy. They're not even trying to hide it either.
