Between Manu's ill advised block attempt on Dirk in 2006 & his turnover-fest in the last two games this year, Manu has helped lose two likely Spurs championships and handed them to Miami.

Don't get me wrong. I am a legitimate believer in an idea I call "Live By The Manu, Die by the Manu" and I love his compe iveness but the scales have been tipped to the latter significantly after this series.

It breaks my heart to see him struggle when all he wants to do is help but it just didn't happen and part of this is on Pop as well.

I have no idea what the Spurs will do but I think there loyalty and stubbornness will cause them to make a deal with Manu in the offseason. From everything I saw this series I can tell that at an elite level Manu just doesn't have the gusto, the bravado and the game anymore to excel against those kinds of defenders and talent anymore. He had a spark in game 5 but he's not going to consistently do that and it's time to move on.
