How does the luxury tax in any way help to create parity? Teams that are in big markets that make a ton of money are the only ones who can afford to pay players over the tax line. Honestly think this is one of the biggest Coup's that has taken place in rulemaking in any sport. Seems to me like a rule that was meant to hinder "big 3" combo's like the Heat really made sure they would have much less compe ion from small market teams. How can a team that could barely afford a 60 million dollar roster going to now afford an 80 million dollar roster with 25 million in luxury tax to compete with top compe ion? It's a joke.

most of the teams that have no chance of winning a ring, their management and philosophy changes from competing to making money instead

look at the suns and bobcat owners, do you think they give a about winning? as long they put in a good product on the floor, fullfill the salary cap minimum required, just sit back and collect whatever revenue sharing from lux tax and jerseys...
