To make room for Dwight. This might be a realistic option for the Spurs. He's almost 31 so I'm sure he'd prefer to play with a contending ball club, and he'd be a reasonably cheap option. He and Manu are good friends and have a lot of experience playing together on Argentina's national team. He shoots the 3 well too.

    Thoughts?

Pass. He's a horrid playoff performer and we already have enough soft Euro players with Parker, Ginobili, Splitter, Diaw, and DeColo on the team.

Wouldn't mind him, can he be a solid contributor at SG?

I think with the Spurs it'd be a lesser role than he's used to. He's not quite the shooter a Kyle Korver or even Gary Neal is anymore, but he's good at other things too. I like him at the two spot over Neal. He can play a few minutes at backup at SF too. Maybe even make Ginobili better when they're on the floor at the same time. Any kind of spark would be nice.

Or if anything lower Ginobili's minutes and give those to Delfino.

He averaged 9 points on 36% shooting in the postseason this year.. Not sure how that is "horrid." I bet those #'s would go up in the Spurs system. He's a good 3-point shooter who can space the floor and gives us depth at SG/SF. Would be a solid pickup imo.

wouldn't mind him. He would replace Neal, but would play more SF position assuming Manu stays.

This is the type of move I expect the Spurs will make for wing depth. Not opposed at all.

The question is what's the price tag... he would be an improvement over Neal, no doubt.

I like Delfino. Seems like a guy who would do well on the Spurs.

Maybe being with his buddy can spark Ginobili's play next season.

I would be happy to take Houston players get Delfino and then get Robinson from them man that would be a huge upgrade over Neal and Blair.

Agreed. That'd be a great offseason tbh. Although I'd still prefer Tyreke Evans.

Ok guys, how does Delfino compare to guys like Korver and Dunleavy? Who would be the best option out of the three?

All very similar players production wise. They all averaged 11 PPG last season. All three shoot the 3 well, although Korver shoots it the best and Dunleavy is close behind. Delfino doesn't shoot it quite as well as those two. Dunleavy is strictly a SF, while Delfino and Korver are a little more versatile and can play both SG and SF. None are particularly great at D. It's just preference really. They're all around the same age.

I think Deflino gets the nod for the Spurs just cause he's foreign tbh. He has as good relationship with Manu. And I think he's the better fit for us of the 3.

We do need to get somebody that can play both SF and SG at a solid level. And better Defense than Neal would be nice as well...
