    Even though he has one year left on his deal next year (QO), how much do you sign him for an extension? Maybe some cap experts can help on that but how soon can the Spurs lock him up.

    Yeah, this is just a new contract with Bird Rights. It's like how the Lakers can offer Howard the extra year. It's actually pretty surprising that a member of the media fails to understand that.
