Did we spend a part of MLE for Pandengraph and Belinelli, or is that still alive?

Depends. No one knows exactly how much they spent on each of them, or what the salary cap will be I don't think

Yes. I explain the current situation on the thread. (No to self promote a thread I started, but I don't feel like copying and pasting)
PTR Predicts that Pendergraph Will be Our Backup SF/Capology

    In short...
If we keep Bonner then its available (5.15 Million)
If we cut him then We would have 2 spots open, $2.9-3.2 in cap + the 2.5 room exception (the 2.5 is separate from the cap and cannot be combined).

Either way (whether we keep or cut Bonner) we'd have a good amount of money to spend. $5 million on 1 player or at least $2.5 million on two players (we could overpay to bring K-mart to San Antonio for a season, considering it wouldn't hurt us in the short or long term)

I'm almost certain that's not true. Splitter is making $8.4 million next season, while Manu is making about $6.5. Beli and Pendergraph should take no more than $3.9 million in cap combined. If we keep Bonner then we would have $60.5 thats only $2 million over the cap. At most it would be $2 million off the MLE. But the Spurs could drop further down by back loading Splitters deal to say $7.2 leaving them with almost all of the MLE. Beli's contract may actually be $5.6 million meaning that figure would drop by about $300,000.

Amnestying Bonner is a real possibility. We have 6 PF-C's with him, 1 SF , 4 PG, & 3 SG. Cutting him makes things easier financially. Beli and Pendergraph would easily fit under the cap with an additional $1.9-$2.2 million in cap left and the room exception. We could lower a vet like Kenyon Martin to the Spurs with the room exception that would give him 2 seasons and pay him more than he'd get with the Knicks.

Believe what you like. The MLE, at least the lion's share of it, has been expended on Belinelli and Pendergraph.

btw, there's no way a 4yr/36M contract can start at 7.2M. That sort of backloading is not possible under the CBA.

I had Pendergraphs deal pegged at the vet min. for his years of service (less than $1 million) Its actually closer to $2 that throws my math off a bit, but we should still be under the cap with Bonner still on the roster meaning that we should be elible for the room exception, not the MLE.

I guess we'll see, but you may want to look at this thread, especially the last page or two:

I did. One of us is right, but we have to wait and see like you said. Probably take till the end of the week to figure out exactly how much the Spurs have left, or whether Bonner is still on the roster.
