It would have been funny if he had been a 3rd party candidate last year. He probably would have gotten 2 or 3 percent of the vote.
Not as funny as him selling out to Romney, tbh.
I don't think he sold out to Romney. He didn't run as a 3rd party candidate because he didn't want to hurt his son's chances in 2016. Can you blame him? And he didn't endorse Gary Johnson because he knew it would also hurt Rand's chances in 2016. Gary Johnson was a little ty but at least he wasn't Obomney.
Grandpa is an independent registered as a republican, contrary to my goddess who's a democrate registered as independent.
I'm not saying he sold out because he didn't run as a 3rd party candidate, I'm saying he sold out because of his lack of aggression against Romney in the primaries. Especially in the debates; he just attacked Santorum & Gingrich, yet Romney got unscathed by Dr. Paul. The same goes for much of the negative ads.
He was in effect, a old, mangled lap dog.
