The only "retired" numbers for the Spurs are 44 (George Gervin), 00 (Johnny Moore), 13 (James Silas), 50 (David Robinson), and 32 (Sean Elliott).
Hi. This is my first post in this forum an english is my second language.
Please forgeve me my mistakes.
I Have a question:
Is Number 7 Retired or it can be used?
Oberto was identified with number 7 and 14 during his career.
Now, 14 belong to Beno, so the choice could be 7?
Bye.
The only "retired" numbers for the Spurs are 44 (George Gervin), 00 (Johnny Moore), 13 (James Silas), 50 (David Robinson), and 32 (Sean Elliott).
Thanks Pache.
There are the retired numbers that pache100 mentioned (00, 13, 32, 44, and 50) and then there are the unretired "forbidden fruit" numbers: number 6, as Manu found out.
Didn't JR Reid wear 7 while he was with the Spurs? That's sacred!
Not to mention # 31, which Nazr wisely chose not to ask for.
I dare him to take 6
I double dare him to talk rose's number
Endorsement anyone?

only cause jackass Don Hairless cried like a little . AJ wasnt good enough (still isnt and will never be) to carry Manu's jock. But cause Don carries AJ's jock in his mouth and always will, no body will ever wear 6 for the Spurs again.
anyone know if # 21 will get retired I want to put some vbookie that the number will be retired
If you consider what AJ did for the #6....
and compare it.....
with what Manu has done in 3 years for the #20
As much as I love AJ, #20 is already 10X more of a "lock" to be hanging in the SBC Center rafters than #6.
Well said Solid...
Oberto should ask for #6.
Solid finally has a take.
I agree.
Even Parker has done more than #6....
, Horry too.
, even Muhammed......
, Bowen too....
What about that shot Barry hit??? ... him too......
What about Rasho.... uh..... nope.
Retire all of them....... yeah.
why hasn't the coyatoes number been retired!
Are you trying to get back at me because I said Rasho wouldn't have called in sick today.
Amen, Solid.
Hey while we're at it...
vBookie on Oberto's future number??? I'm jonesen for some virtual action.
he should take #6 imo, he be 6, parker be 9
I think Don Hairless is Avery's .
I'd be okay if #6 was 'unofficially retired.' But there's no reason to actually do it, just never give it out again.
From the current crew, I see four retired numbers, when all is said and done:
Parker
Ginobili
Duncan
and
Bowen
Ginobili and Duncan are locks at this point, Parker is a near-lock, projected forward a few years. And I think Bowen has to be there in the end. I'd be disappointed if he wasn't.
