...coming out of Town & Country market, walking in is a mom (this was obvious) her two kids and I'm guessing the dad. The little boy (9ish) is making machine gun sounds the dad..."shut up"..the kid rattattatrattat...so the guy hauls off and decks the kid, knocks him on his ass. My first thought.."none of my business walk on"...which I was doing, then the guy kicks the kid.

me..(so I walk over to help the kid) I don't think I will.
punk..(realizing he's 5-8 around 180 pounds)...ok man I lost my cool.
me...(asking the kid...does he do this often...the kid nodding yes)...I can see that.
I then walked away and it's now bugging me. Should I have turned his ass in? Would you have?

I was pushing a basket and no way I could have taken pictures of something I didn't know was about to happen. It was over before I had a chance to think. I'm thinking now I should have detained him until I could have called the cops. But...I've been in a similiar situation before and the wife turned on me.
I just feel real sorry for that kid.
