Looks like the mavs have entered the oden sweepstakes but are looking at Samuel dalembert for about $3-5mill...

I didn't see any dalembert threads in the think tank...not worth a look?

No thanks tbh. I think the Spurs are pretty much set at the frontcourt going into training camp.

if i'm in the front office, i'd much rather take a chance on a young athletic 6'9-6'11 that maybe is unproven over an older less mobile center. he can protect the rim like nobody's biz but he's just not very mobile. mobility is a hot commodity these dayzzzzz

One of my favourite stats from last year was Dalembert (tied with someone else, I can't remember who) had the highest scoring game off the bench with 35 points. Some of you may remember who he was tied with or if he even finished the season still being the leader but wow that was pretty funny.

(Just for the record, I don't want him, I just think that stat is one of the weirdest things you'll hear)

Wouldn't mind having him on the roster, but he's impossible to get. He's worth more than league min and the Spurs used up their MLE on Belinelli/Pendergraph.

Well, maybe not impossible to get. Spurs and Bucks could swing a Dalembert-Neal S&T swap, which I'd be all for. But would Dalembert want to come here and would Neal want to go there?

Dallas reaching agreement with Dalembert reports means they're out of the Oden signing (I wouldn't call it sweeptakes) ?

Actually, Stein tweeted that the Mavs would still like to bring Oden aboard even after securing Dalembert.

Oden is getting offered like 3 mill by a team though right? I saw something like that.

Reports stated that the Pelicans "could be poised to offer a contract close to $3M" - but nothing is official yet.
