For the minimum as a 10-12 minute backup for Kawhi? Absolutely. He played well for us last year as an emergency signing when Kawhi went down.

Makes sense. Their new GM was Morey's assistant. He knows James.

Not surprised either, JA is serviceable. Especially at a discount.

Thomas can't defend any NBA position.

could Thomas still be used as a 3 pt specialist as a possible replacement for Neal?

He won't see the SA roster, let alone the floor if he can't defend.

Haha if Neal can get playing time then no problems for Thomas.

That's an odd claim when Gary Neal played way more minutes than he should have since he couldn't defend a snail driving to the basket,

it must hurt the young heart of this to get waived imho, it feels like failing an exam in college. Hope will get over it as soon as he can and flourish elsewhere, best wishes. is a talented player and will be signed by another NBA team in no time, hope being waived will turn out to be a goad to him rather than a burden. Maybe he's just not ty and re ed enough to play for the Rockets.

He was a surprisingly good hustle player last season but, from what I remember, he still couldn't make his open threes. Would have been good value for the minimum though

45% on threes last season with us. Dunno his percentages with Houston.

It's worse than that. He can't defend a guy with only one shoe on.
