Simple, worked on the trade checker.

Mills and Bonner for Brass, two expiring players for a player BOS obviously doesn't need anymore.

Bass is quick on his feet, can hit the jumper, he did well against Melo when he had too, not a bad small 4 man if we see Miami in the finals again.

Already signed Pendergraph who projects out as a better player than Bass IMO. Then again, he was buried on an awful Indy bench (I still believe that the combination of DJ Augustin + Hansborough cost them that series).

bass is ok, but not what we need. We would be super foolish to take Bass over Bonner.

I like the deal. I've always like Bass. Good pick and pop guy. Fairly could rebounder. If needed can post fairly well. Mills and Bonner come off the books after next season. Boston gets out of a long term deal and would only have Lee and Rondo left. Plus declutters the PG/SG situation a bit. Gives Joseph and De Colo more playing time to develop.

    Duncan/Diaw/Bass
    Splitter/Baynes/Pendergraph

Diaw can always play backup SF. He can post other SFs and the Spurs could activate the offense through him like they do with Splitter sometimes. Bass could play the 4 and Baynes the 5. Bass would be out on the wing setting screens and standing to create space.

That and the fact Hill couldn't play PG. full time against a great playoff defense.

Would be a solid PF to start alongside Duncan, or play off the bench as a backup for Duncan and Splitter. Dude's weight and defense will protect Duncan well and save him energy for offense, though he would hardly be an upgrade over Diaw offensively. A 3.5 men rotation in the paint would be fine imho (with Diaw being the 0.5 man because he would have to take some minutes as the backup SF)

I dunno about playing Bass and Duncan together.

From what I've read, Bass's PnR defense isn't all that good, and you really need someone who can defend the PnR decently well alongside Duncan.
