Steph wannabe
Curry is set to workout for the Bobcats in August, after passing up their Summer League offer and missing draft workouts because of a stress fracture in his right shin that required surgery. He already has training camp invites from the Wolves, Spurs and Warriors.

The fact that he didn't even get drafted says all you need to know.
He was injured and did t participate in any rookie combines due to surgery. Dude can shoot
How's his defense? Neal 2.0?
my buddy has a couple brothers. they all hoop, but the youngest one was the best. isn't the youngest zeller the best one. probably drunk logic, and i don't think the spurs need another point. but seems like a nice gamble to me.
Dude seems like an injury prone player. It runs in that family.
Hopefully he chooses the Spurs training camp but with the number of guards we have under contract he will likely go try to make another roster
Spurs aiming for steph by pulling in seth. CIA FO
He's not nearly athletic enough to even compete with PG's at the NBA level.
Hopefully, this means the team managed to convince Denmon to stay in Europe another season.
As a Blue Devil fan..he's pretty much Neal 2.0. Not fast enough to guard PG's, not big enough to guard true SG's. Not a good enough playmaker, but can definitely shoot the ball. Not explosive athletically...as cool as it would be to see a Dukie, there's no room for him on the roster IMO.
I kinda envision him as being a steve kerr type player. Not a starter. Give you some mins each game, shoot the rock great. Hopefully has a great bball iq
this logic holds up more often than not. the power of influence or growing up with older siblings whom you respect enough to let influence and challenge you goes a long way.
Looks like we got a new Gary Neal
Hopefully, Curry can make the team. He is a great player. I know the Spurs have a lot of guards, but Curry could really help the team. It would be Belinelli, Ginobili, Green, and Curry as the shooting guards. Parker and Mills/Joseph as point guards.
It makes absolute sense to invite Seth Curry to training camp. No lose situation. As with all the Curry's (Dell and Stephen) Seth shoots lights out as well despite he lacks of athleticism and quickness. As shown in this last free agency the only real way for the Spurs to lure quality players is through the draft or international talent.
Just because they invited him doesn't mean he's coming to camp.
I think the Spurs could bring in some big name free agents, if they really wanted to. In a few seasons, the Big Three will probably be gone (Duncan and Ginobili will probably retire, I'm not sure about Parker) and the Spurs will have the cap space and the need to find some star players.
A fact that has escaped more than a few posters in this thread. I think he can play in the NBA, so if he's smart, he's NOT going to pick a team where he'd be like the 8th guard. His best bet would be to pick a bad team with a bad, or at least shortened guard rotation.
Even when the spurs have had cap space, big name free agents haven't come to play in San Antonio. Future rebuilding will probably come from the draft.
They won't use the (twice) failed Detroit model and overpay for middle grade FAs. No matter how much you want it, top FAs will never come here. If they didn't when we were a top team, they sure a won't when we crash.
They'll likely go the OKC route, and be bad to ac ulate serial high draft picks, and use their cap room to eat bad contracts in conjunction with more middle to late first rounders, and young players who could put their team over the tax to build a team from scratch. The first got them Durant, Westbrook, and Harden. The second got them Ibaka and Reggie Jackson. The third got them Maynor and Daquan Cook.
