What do you guys think? I'd love to have both of them for the veteran's minimimum.
Both players could definitely bolster our front court, with Stevenson playing SF/SG and Harrington playing SF/PF. Stevenson can shoot the three ball and is a great defender (i.e. Lebron stopper).
Harrington still has a lot left in the tank. He was averaging 14 ppg the year before last (was injured most of last year), and a few years ago was putting up 20 ppg (along with very respectable rebound numbers).
We lost Blair and Neal... we can replace Blair with a longer and bigger guy in Harrington, who has proved he can score if needed. Stevenson isn't the shooter Neal is, but he's bigger and stronger and an overall better defender. And I've heard from multiple sources inside the Wizard organization, that Stevenson used to have shootouts with Gilbert Arenas after practice and would beat him at times. Stevenson would be a great player in our system with his three point shooting.
And we are not getting either one of them. Watch one end up on the Heat.
DeShawn Stevenson would be another Stephen Jackson-esque distraction. I'd say no.
Harrington's never been a great player, and his FG% for his career is bad, but I'd take him as a backup SF sooner than I would take the corpse of T-Mac
Harrington is past the age and ability where he can play small forward. I'm not an advocate for him, but if the Spurs did consider him, it would be in a small ball line up that had Kawhi Leonard as the small forward and Harrington as the power forward. Not the other way around. Again, not sure he can play that role; I don't see Harrington spending minutes guarding the Carmelos and the Lebrons of the NBA, which makes him less viable as a back up small forward.
Stevenson sucks. End of consideration.
Sorry to bust your bubble OP but Stevenson is just another sell out wanting to go to southbeach for a curtail chip. Check out below. The shameless begging is freaking hilarious lol

^^^^^Send him a pair of pom poms to replace his balls. ^^^^^
wow those twitter quotes are pathetic
Harrington would be better than any other option we currently have at backup SF, so consider him an upgrade. His ability to roll to the PF position would make Bonner more expendable, and enhance the possibilty of a mid-season trade.
How many ing players can the Heat sign?
Harrington would be pretty nice.
Stevenson wood be a good BU on da spurs.
I think Al Harrington could make a decent backup forward, especially if he can still has range. Would he sign for the minimum?
Stevenson is a joke. Harrington could have value, but I don't see the Spurs making a run at him. He essentially plays the same position as Pendergraph
Harrington would be nice. 4-1 says one or both ends up with the CHeat.
Where's the Mo Williams Watch thread?
Harrington is good. He may not be in his prime anymore, but he adds toughness, and a good range on his jumper. He's still a very good player.
I don't know that either of these clowns end up in Miami. With Miami's tax situation, does it justify the expense of paying two marginally good NBA players, especially when they essentially the same positions as Wade, Lebron, and Shane Battier?
The Wacky Waving Inflatable Arm Flailing Tube Man guy?
neither of them matter to the Spurs. One sucks balls and the other doesn't fill a need.
I can't tell which one's which.
Al may be a good fit with the Heat, since his brain shows through his skull similar to Battier.
...well played. Harrington might be a decent option as a end of the bench stretch 4 if the Spurs needed one but at this point in his career I don't think he's marginally better than Bonner...if he is at all.
HA! True, true...
Heck if Harrington comes here its better than Oden. Dude has averaged double digits off the bench for years. No way he just disappeared as much as he did in Orlando last season. I think that may have been the issue.
