Great news. Good team, from what I hear. And that means the Spurs aren't content to give the 15th spot to someone who doesn't project to be able to help this season.

Hmm, that still leaves one roster spot open....
Wait? Wasn't he just shopping for real estate in SA?

It's official now. Great team for him.
Terms of the deal?
Well the agent said great things were happening for him, but she didn't say it was with the Spurs.
As an investment...
I was hoping DeShaun Thomas would make the Spurs team this season, but hopefully he finds his way on the team soon. I think he's going to be a great player. I wonder who will get that roster spot?
Same team as Lucas Nogueria.
He wasn't going to play much for the Spurs this year, had he made the team. This is a more appropriate move for his development.
I had a feeling he wasn't going to make the team, even after he was seen with the real estate agent.
I think the Spurs will just keep that roster spot open like they usually do for a series of ten day contracts.
If they do sign someone else soon I'll be very very surprised.
Disappointed. I was hoping he'd make the team even if he spent nearly all of the time in Austin.
I'm sure this will be better for his development. I just doubt the Spurs use the open roster spot any time soon or at all.
I was hoping he'd make the team but I can agree that the overseas experience and additional development opportunity are a better investment by the Spurs.
And it'll open up a spot for the bargain bin later in the season when rosters trim down.
I love that he's going to a team called Estudiantes to learn the pro game.
Well there goes Kawhi's knees?..Why the don't they just sign him?..I think he is NBA ready..He tore it up in the Summer League!!
Typical knee jerk lol
signed 2 days ago ..........................
This means a 5 year extension for Bonner! Spreading the floor for years to come!
Well if you think so they must have made a huge mistake.
