At least be realistic - a DH rule in basketball would involve subs uting the DH for the person fouled, for free throws. It would be the Dwight Howard rule.
since fat and unathletic ball players like big papi Ortiz can't play a lick of defense but are juggernauts offensively, i was wonderin what if the nba ins uted a DH rule to help out their own one dimensional players:
teams in the west conference can elect 1 player every game to be subs uted "on the fly" on defense and then be subbed back in for offense (without the need for play to be whistled dead)
which team would benefit the most, tbh? would the lakers DH Nash or would they DH Kobe?

It should be implemented as a WWF style "tag" where as soon as the players give high five they can swap.
Imagine 40 year old, grey haired Kobe trolling the sidelines, begging for some poor rookie to tag him in so he can get the scoring record. Great theater.
