    some players are just so great they're more often remembered by their nicknames rather than their real names. Just like how my classmates and I referred to each other while I was in high school, like each one of us got a hilarious nickname. Only the teachers called us by our real names imho.

    it's similar on Spurstalk imho. If I ask you "who's Nick Ford"? you would be like "Nick Ford, who?" but if I referred to him by his screenname on spurstalk you would think of that guy easily and instantly.
