Dwight Howard Aiming To Shoot '75 To 80' Percent From Free Throw Line

Dwight Howard has steadily worsened as a free throw shooter in his NBA career, shooting just 49 percent last season.
Now with the Houston Rockets, Howard is aiming to have a career season at the foul line. His career high at the free throw line came as a rookie, when he shot 67 percent.
"This season, I want to win a championship," Howard said. "I want to shoot 75 to 80 percent from the free-throw line. I want to win defensive player of the year."
Howard left the Los Angeles Lakers in free agency in the offseason.
never even shot 70% for a season before, his highest was 67% on far less attempts as a rookie. He just lacks focus when he shoots them in-game, his shot is very inconsistent and he sometimes goes even fruther from FT line to shoot them, I don't see him becoming one of the best FT shooting centers, maybe improves to 60% but above 70? cmon son.
I really don't wish this on many people, let alone players, but I wish the absolute worst for Howard. He acts like some bible thumping christian, but has bas children and is just dying to be loved by the media. baby drew crew for life

He has a drop step, a spin move and can shoot nice right handed hook. He is no Kevin McHale but this notion that he has no moves is just false.
Because he has to run up and down the court during the game. FT practice, if he's doing it right, would be about the same as the game. He's not practicing the same way as he shoots in the game because he's a mental ball of .
he's used to shooting them with no one on the sidelines ready to rebound. he's not used doing it with opposing fans getting in his face.
