For those who missed out on Chris Kaman's times with the Clippers, his qualities differ from what Dwight Howard showed last season with the Lakers before jetting to the Houston Rockets.

Kaman hardly matches Howard's defense, which earned him the NBA's Defensive player of the year award in three seasons.

"He's an above the rim player," Kaman said. "I can't play above the rim."

Kaman's career averages of 11.8 points and eight rebounds falls short of Howard's career numbers (18.29 points, 12.96 rebounds). But Kaman remains superior in his post moves and mid-range jumper. Not surprisingly, Kaman's career 74.4 percent mark from the free throw line also trumps Howard's 57.7 percent clip.

"I'm a similar player as Pau (Gasol). I think I'm inside and outside like he is," Kaman said. "I complement his game well."

yes, and a player who tends to take a higher fg% shot is more efficient. its why kobe's efficiency has always been lacking. he settles for really inefficient shots too often. if he wanted to be like mike, he should have attacked the rim more throughout his career, which is why kobe's career shooting is a very average 46.3 while MJ was north of 49%, and north of 50% if you don't count the wizards comeback

for a while i've said kobe is the best at making tough shots. we've all seen them, when a defender is draped over him, and he gives all the little moves and barely gets a shot off that should have been blocked, and it goes in. yeah, he can make those shots at like a 30% clip, when most other players would shoot those shots at 15% or so.

the problem is, kobe is also the best at taking tough shots. he settles for those ridiculous shots all the time which is why we go on about him being an inefficient chucker. he can make those tough shots better than most, but most aren't ing re ed enough to take 12 of those per game

so is chris kaman takes less efficient shots, thats his problem. if dwight is smart enough not to try to be a jumpshooter like kaman tries to be at times, thats a credit to him

i brought up kobe as a prime example of inefficiency. being a better shooter doesn't mean more efficient scorer. heck, im sure nick young is a better pure shooter than lebron is, but that doesn't mean . hoping for caveman to be better than Dwight is what depressed laker fans are resorting to

I did...even though he's brilliant and very smart...I didn't care about that ...I voted for him because he was black...and the very reason I voted for him is the same reason you didn't...whites have been voting for presidents based on skin color since the very first president so please don't try to play the morality card....Obama's symbolism means more to me than any decision I may or may not agree with...

As someone who watched his whole time with the Clippers, soft doesn't even begin to describe him, tbh.... Kaman missed countless bunny layups and was deathly afraid of dunking the ball, he turned it over too many times, and was constantly injured, tbh....

CP3 averaged only 2.3 turnovers per game last year, less than Westbrick, Kyrie, Parker, Conley, D-Will, or Curry

And as for the dunking, well.....

I actually think Pau/Nash/Kaman will work well together. Pau will roll to the basket with Nash, and pick and pop with Kaman.

Kaman's terrible. Empty stats, turnover prone, won't pass the ball out of the post. Below average starter in this league.

I bet you never voted for no one before 08 because all candidates were whites in previous elections, since as early as the history book tells you. Whites had to vote for those white candiates because there weren't any significant black candidates back then.
