His jumper is horrid. Needs shooters to be effective.
rumor mill is that LA and Boston are considering it...they actually discussed it earlier this year and now it seems more likely to happen with Bostons break-up of the Big 3...
Rondo and Bass each have two years left on their current contracts, restricting Boston's financial flexibility until the summer of 2015. Trading them for Gasol and then letting the big man go this coming April gives Boston $19.8 million more in cap space—and opens up the books a full year earlier.Next summer, the Lakers will have plenty of cap space to go after a big name or two, even with Rondo's contract on the books.
Imagine if they added someone like, oh I don't know, Carmelo Anthony! Something tells me the Lakers would be able to convince Rondo to sign a contract extension if that happened.
Adding Gasol would accelerate Boston's already-initiated rebuilding. And Rondo would be an instant upgrade over the soon-to-be-40 Steve Nash and a piece around whom the Lakers could add scorers in free agency.
Right now, these rumors are just that—rumors. But all the ingredients for a deal are there.
His jumper is horrid. Needs shooters to be effective.
Imagine Rondo,Kobe and Melo on the same team...ugh
s must know Kobe is finished when they're trying to bring a ballhawk like Rondo in.
Not enough basketball to go around
Plus no big man to get them those rebounds to continue to jack up shots
More Bleacher Report plagiarism....

Not to mention, it's an idea that the author came up with, not an actual rumor![]()
small problem to fix...not a PG in the league that can stop his penetration or better control an offense....or is a better defensive player ..try again
its not a PG stopping him you need to worry about. Its a SG.
you wiggas are insane....Rondo's forte is passing...in fact it's all he really wants to do....he wants to control the offense by passing...Doc Rivers was a bad coach hidden by the talent of 3 superstars....Rondo given two high prolific scorers in Kobe and Melo would avg 15 assists / gm
he's too quick and tough for most 2's....Rondo would run the Point in LA....for example..Wade almost fouls out every time they put him on Rondo...Rondo is too effective of a player and is at his best when penetrating...
you don't know what the you're talking about
He'd have to have the ball to do that you illiterate baboon.
when you can create a bleacher report and publish it online then it'll move beyond an idea to a rumor...ok dumbass...and@not knowing my OP included quotes...you have the comprehension of a gnat
no you don't....he's pesky...and moves very well without the ball ;-)
@Spur fan pre-emptive strike to denigrate Rondo's game in case he lands in LA
can't penetrate without the ball. No banana for you.
yes you can....
Rondo is a effective but loves to handle the ball. Rondo, Kobe and Melo would need a very strong coach with a good system to maximize their talents. He is a willing passer but also an assist .
my kinda Ho
Look at all the idiots that don't even watch the game attack this thread. Rhondo played with KG, Pierce, House and Ray... all ball hogs.
He's literally known for disrupting the flow of his offense to pad his assists, even passing up layups to blatantly stat-pad....
He coached a team whose starting lineup consisted of Darrell Armstrong, Tariq Abdul-Wahad, Monty Williams, Bo Outlaw, and John Amaechi to a .500 record and won Coach of the Year when most coaches would have sucked ass with that rosterDoc Rivers was a bad coach hidden by the talent of 3 superstars....
When someone credible (i.e. Woj) reports it, then it's a rumor.... anyone can write a Bleacher Report article, that doesn't mean it's legitimate, dumbass![]()
