I just can't imagine what Vlade and Jesus are smoking.
$100 million for a borderline franchise player? Ray doesn't deserve to make more per season than Tim Duncan. He would make a great second option on a team with championship aspirations. Unfortunately for him, a Ray Allen-led team is just not going to contend for a le. He's a very, very, good player, but he's not the kind of player you build a contender around.
As for Radman...near max? I guess he does still have some serious potential, but based on his performance to date, he doesn't deserve a penny more than the MLE. Based on potential, I can see him getting more than that.
Even in today's NBA world of Mullin giving Foyle superstar dollars and third options getting max contracts, I just can't see a GM giving Vlade near-max dollars. He's still a project with a bad at ude.
As for Malone, it's bad news for the Spurs. The Spurs don't need an unhappy Horry and Rose. A glut in the frontcourt isn't going to help, and an older, less mobile player coming off a major injury isn't going to help the Spurs very much in today's NBA.
