Still learning. He will be ok.
That is all.
Nothing drives me to drink like playing Portland on the road.
Still learning. He will be ok.
How dare you speak of Manu like that. He is a legend (tm).
he is the same player as last year......IMO he won't be good until around April which is what matters
Where's the "Kawhi sucks" knee jerk thread, tbh?
Tired, I guess. He and splitter played like today.
He got pulled because Marco was playing out of his mind.
Marco and Manu was playing better tbh.
That said, he's been getting the old man treatment against Utah and LAL.
Barely over 30 minutes for a 22 year old without a legit backup...he'll be fine though. Pop has always been in scientist most the first quarter of the season. It's like an extension of pre-season tbh
Kid has a knee tendinitis. Did you forget about it?
The Grizzlies and Lakers also didn't have any noteworthy perimeter players that needed Leonard's attention, tbh..
There hasn't really been a reason to play him big minutes so far, especially in these meaningless early games..
He probably won't play big minutes until the Warriors and Knicks games next week IMO..
It's hard to be a legit option on a team with so many legit options. There will be nights when it's his turn, and he'll deliver. The Spurs don't play hero ball, you won't see anyone go off except Parker when the opponent refuses to close the lane down.
It is hard for him to impose his will to score sometimes. Parker, Manu & Duncan have that instinct.
He hesitates too much. On plays when he dun hesitates and just lets it flow naturally, its beautiful to watch.
Not an overpaid, washed up, brainless, "clutch veteran"......"tbh".
He wants to force the action a little more than he has in the past, but that comes with sacrificing some offensive flow. It's a balance he just didn't have tonight.
already started another knee jerk thread on Green too... why stop with the mediocrity now?
He needs to learn how to read the defense.
Kawhi has still got a long way to go. Hopefully he can get there.
Yep, the Finals made some just think he was ready to explode and would early this year. He still has a long ways to go as you said. I just look for improvements every year and thats all, he is still raw and very young so some expecting him to explode and be an all star right about now or this year will just have to wait IMO.
I was actually thinking that he would came out of the gates stronger than this. After these three games, I'm going to dial back the expectations and give him more time. I think it's going to take a while. He's just not going to do it straight away, and it won't be easy because he has lots to work on. His decision making and handling in traffic needs a lot of improvement. It doesn't seem he has a very quick first step either, not sure if that is related to his ball handling or not?
All those people that think he's going to be an all-star, just like that, I don't think they understand how hard it is.
Kawhi is human and he will have good and bad games like every other human... imagine that...
Unacceptable. Cut him.
scrub's been holding us back for years
To be fair a lot of people had high expectations for him last season and he started slow as well. If last season was any indication he starts off slowly and builds on it as the season progresses. Should be interesting to see how well he's doing around the all-star break.
