Why didn't Duncan guard Alridge at the end? Or at all?

He is a jump shooter. Duncan needs to be in the paint to protect the rim. Splitter/diaw usually guards the bigs that can shoot jumpers/stay at the high posts while duncan usually defend the low post.

Spurs guarded Alridge very well at the end. everytime he got the ball he got it in the right elbow and double teamed. great strategy

    good job pop

You do realize you are the only one that still es about Manu right? Not even hater es about him anymore? The gimmick was cool after the finals... but now it's old.

Not even trying to trash you, but if you keep it up.. you're just gonna end up banned. Just like TGY when he pulled that when mods were around at the beginning of July.

Really not much we could do... it was their home opener so I expected them to be energized. Hopefully we can bounce back against a struggling Denver team.

it was a great game. and it was a Blazers home game where they can't miss. they have about 10 games like that every season. Nobody can beat them on those nights. I'm happy with what the spurs did

Just 1 game but already they are showing weakness in the front court, Outside of Duncan there's a huge gap to our next dependable big.

He wasn't missing even with a hand right in his face... Wouldn't have made a difference tbh, he fades away most of the time anyway and there wouldn't have been much for TD to do. Now if he went down on the block, that'd be differnet.

Portland did virtually all of their damage outside of the paint IIRC..

Outside of Boris Diaw the rest of their "bigs" scored 6 points. Oh and the FT % what complete crap.
