Kobe would be coat tailing a dominant big per par. Wouldn't really change his legacy imo
http://usatoday30.usatoday.com/sport...s-future_x.htmMaking Bryant want to stay is vital. Every team in the league is interested in him, but unless a sign-and-trade deal can be worked out, which is unlikely, the only teams that can sign him to a maximum-salary contract are Atlanta, Denver, Phoenix, San Antonio and Utah. He can make the most money, however, by opting out of his contract and re-signing with the Lakers.
what if kupchak decided to get rid of kobe instead of o'neal? out of those 5 teams only the spurs seem like a legit option if they do offer a max deal...

The Spurs organization would never accept such a selfish cancer in their locker room regardless of his talent.
REMEMBER when there were rumors of a parker/ginoboli trade for kome?
he would've been an excellent young prospect to the spurs had he joined them in 96, so Pop would've had enough time to incorporate him into his system while trimming those selfish genes out of his cell nucleus just like how he did Manu and Parker, but 2004? It was already too late imho.
