I'm sure Holt never wrote a check to the NBA for even one dollar for that DNP thing. It was all a power play by Stern to make sure it wouldn't happen again. But of course, the Heat did it at the end of the year, and we never heard a peep out of Stern. So if Holt actually had to write a check, any first year law student could win a case against the NBA to have the fine amount reimbursed. Stern is a joke, and most people (but sadly, not all) know it.
