He's only considered a soft cause he's nearly 7 feet tall and dunks like 5'10 guy.
This guy is going HAM on the offensive boards this season - I've noticed it in every game and even though it does not always result in numbers for his stats sheet, the guy is putting in a load of effort in that department.
Considering his reputation as a soft and the fact that he's just been paid big moneys on a long contract, to see him putting in this much effort into one of the hardest aspects of the game, especially for his soft ass self, is pretty massive.
The guy averages 1.6 offensive boards over his career, sitting on 3.1 for the season - he's doubled it, playing less time AND these are not just falling into his lap, he is fighting for that .
Keep it up Tiago![]()

He was quite assertive against the Wizards. If only he could have that at ude against all the teams, it would be great.
he's been one of our best 3 players this season, people who about him being soft probably have some fruedian sexual complex, they need a big muscle flexing gorilla to fulfill their sexual fantasies
I like what he did against the Wizard. His presence was there. Now, only if he can do it consistently...
Tiago's issue has always been his finishing, but that's the thing least needed of him. It's his defense, rebounding, and ability to pass that make his contract worth it.
the first half of the first quarter, the team played so hard with such a nasty defence, i was really fired up.. tiago is not just sitting there tbh.
5'10" guys that can dunk look mean as tbh.
Nate Robinson? Granted, he's 5'9" but still.
His and Diaw's improvement are the story of the young season at this point.
He was a lot of fun to watch last night, and so this season. Here's hoping for the same and a healthy rest of the season
Oh, and DiawZero complaints.
Splitter stepped up after Pop put Diaw into the starters and cut his (splitters) playing time.
Diaw's 2.0 doin' work for Splitter Wake up.
Splitters averaging 8 rpg in 26 mpg. He's crashing the glass, something the Spurs need. It will be interesting to see if it holds up when Duncan starts to dominate the boards again.
Not to mention Beli looking more and more comfortable out there![]()
Good matchup for Splitter last night. Maybe I'm wrong but playing against guys who know his international career (Nene, Gasol brothers, Gortat, Bogut, Scola, Asik) also gives him more confidence. At least it seems so.
I never saw him play outside the NBA but ppl say he was very good
Just the Euroleague MVP doing work tbh
Bump.. This guy's hustle is a major reason this series is so close and we get a game 7
