This is my favorite holiday and it's not even close. I'm taking the pecan pie and rolls to my moms, where a huge spread that will include her famous corn casserole will be waiting for me. God bless my day as a fat ass.
I'm boxing out for the mashed potatoes right away, imo. Then it's the stuffing, turkey (dark meat, no ), smoked gouda mac and cheese, and rolls. Nothing green today for me. Finishing with some cherry pie. It's going to be gluttonous and glorious.![]()

What time do you ots usually eat? Like 5 here. sucks. I would like to eat from the get go. I''m already high and starving.
Now that I think about it, I'm not even high anymore. Just incredibly hungry.
Those "munchies" getting the better of you, huh?
Keep in mind as soon as you ingest a single bite or drink, you will lose your high and have to start all over again.
Count your lucky stars and enjoy your high.
I'll hopefully eat around 3pm. Pies (pumpkin w/whip cream, buttermilk chess, and Dutch Apple) instead of supper later.

Officially starting late this year around 6...sucks, I'm starving too. Newcastle and pretzels till then.
ETA here is looking to be around 2----keeping the Bloody Mary's flowing until then![]()
We eat early here. Half hour from go time.
My gf's mom usually makes 3-4 loaves of challah bread, so damn good.
we're about to go eat around 1:30 or 2. gives you more time to make room and eat like a fatass tbh.
I did a big dinner with friends last weekend and will be doing a big traditional dinner with other friends next weekend, so today I'm just cooking for me. Scratch made raviolis and sauce, boudin sausage, and steamed veggies. And I'll be making a sweet potato pie. Got a late start on my sauce, though, which has to cook for eight hours, so my solo dinner will be late. Just video games and the smell of heaven simmering away until then.
^sounds pretty lonely and sad
mid 30s no family playing video games alone on thanksgiving
That boudin sausage sounds fantastic!
I'm neither lonely nor sad today, but thanks for the concern.
By the way, in what way is actively responding to a message board 45 minutes away from sitting down for a family dinner happy?
3pm here. Doing some homemade bread, stuffed olives and Mexican martinis now (Don Julio).
Turkey for breakfast, lunch, football (Cowboys game) and dinner. Turkey all damn day...
Roast turkey breast, traditional dressing, oyster dressing, green bean casserole, candied yams, mashed potatoes, giblet gravy, cranberry sauce, hot rolls, black olives, green onions, sweet gherkins, radishes, and pies for desert.
Sorry to hear that. I'd invite you to come have thanksgiving with is but your kind wouldn't be welcomed tbh.
Never been a fan of sweet potatoes/yams, tbh
I'm not crazy about them with melted marshmallows on top.
I love baked sweet potatoes though, very healthy, candied yams, not so healthy, but oh so tasty.

Sweet potatos are awesome yea round not necessary just on thanksgiving tbh
Even the new fried sweet potatoes are healthier.
And yes, year round, but they are expensive compared to regular potatoes.
Traditional dinner with family here. Watching football now but gotta help my sis put up Xmas lights in a few mins.
I murdered the cornbread tonight
