He was always beta, lefty. You guys are the ones that elevate these role players into stars. And I always warn you too. You name me one superstar that will workout with the guy that is supposed to be his arch nemesis? Do you think Kobe would train with AI? Or Shaq with Duncan? Or Bird with Magic? Durant trains with Lebron every summer after Lebron has owned his sorry ass thinking he's getting better. Thunder fans should be outraged at this but meth is a mother er.

If Durant had an alpha male mentality then maybe they would be more than pretenders.
Durant is still searching the right alpha for him imho. Dude needs to play alongside an alpha and he would form a great combo with the right Alpha but I don't see Westchuck being the right Alpha for him tbh. the ceiling of Westchuck is a leader of a marginal playoff team, and if you give him a secondary role on a contender he would turn out to be a cancer, while if Durant accompanies a real alpha on a great team (like Dirk and the Mavs) the success expected to be achieved would be tremendous. Durant is just a modern-day Scottie Pippen imho
