I've noticed you aren't the best at seeming intelligent when typing.

His ceiling is Shawn Marion. Some of you might have a problem with that assessment but, then again, some of you have a problem with reality.

As much as I love the guy, I think he's vastly overrated by most people (especially non-Spurs fan). He plays great D, has a three point shot, and finishes strong in the paint, but people are acting like he's gonna be a superstar/max player, and that simply isn't the case (I hope I'm wrong).

The only reason he's untouchable atm is because

    1) we don't know his real ceiling (no one knows for sure)
    2) his rookie contract, you're not gonna get a better deal than this
    3) great character, isn't "raw raw"... aka built by pop himself in a lab

I still think that the Spurs should have kept Tracy McGrady around in some sort of capacity just to help mentor Kawhi on the offensive side of the ball. Sort of like how Jacque Vaughn mentored the PGs when he was here. He helped guys like George Hill, Cory Joseph out quite a bit. I don't think that it's a coincidence that Kawhi played his best ball when T-Mac was here. I think he picked up quite a few things from Tracy in practice that helped him in the playoffs.

The guy was a magnificent offensive player that can probably teach a young SF quite a bit about the game.

15 year career and a 4-time All-Star with six years each in the NBA top 10 for rebounding and steals? The Spurs will take that.

Over 133 million in career earnings? Kawhi will take that.

I second what yhe OP said. Leonard looks like he's not sure of himself when he's pushing a fast break. At times when I think he could push it he stops an pass it back out.

Well, when he does stop and pass it back out I believe that shows intelligence and a grasp of reality on his part. If either Kawhi or Danny starts a fast break at one end of the court, you can almost guarantee that there will be a turnover or at least a missed shot by the time they get to the Spurs' basket. They all WANT to be able to have a fast break with a dunk at the end, but it is considerably harder than it looks, and neither of these guys has shown a capacity to accomplish it at a percentage over 50% of their attempts. That being the case, my guess is that the coaches have told both of them that if they can get the ball and start a fast break, that they need to give it to ball handler unless they are 100% certain that they can make it to the basket on their own.

When he has a smaller guy on him, I wish he'd post them up more often. Or the Spurs call his number off screens.

Or in otherwords, NOT the future face of the franchise like so many here predicted. A team's career 3rd or 4th option. Unlike Marion though, Leonard isn't as aggressive and he's not the finisher either. Then again, he's been overrated here since day 1.
