Have you seen the records of these teams? I know the Eastern Conference has been ty ever since Jordan left the Bulls in 1998 but this Eastern Conference is terrible. I know it's early in the season and just December but damn the records that these teams have are ty and pathetic even for Eastern Conference standards. The Heat and the Pacers are the only teams with winning records. The Wizards are at .500. The Raptors are leading the ty Atlantic Division with a losing record. The possible Finals contending Bobcats are only 8-10 and are the 6th team. Just terrible but in a way I like it. I want a ty team like the Bobcats in the Finals because it will make the NBA make changes to how the league is run and hopefully ty teams will finally have a fair chance of getting the Larry O'Brien Trophy.

It`s easier to tank in stacked West and yet Bucks and Knicks () have the worst record in the league.
The Eastern Conference was a lot more compe ive during 1990s than in the 2000s and 2010s. Ewing's Knicks, Miller's Pacers, and Shaq's Magic were badass teams in the 1990s.

The East was way worse in the Iverson, Kidd, Carter days from 99-03. There wasn't a team in the conference who could have any realistic shot of winning a le until the Pacers and Pistons started getting strong in 04.

There's just 3 Eastern Conference teams at .500 or above. The Easts combined record is 114-153. Compare that to 12 Western Conference teams at .500 or above and a combined record of 152-113. 3rd place in the east belongs to Washington at 9-9. 3rd place in the west belongs to Oklahoma at 12-3. The East is an embarrassment.
